2nd FEB 2005: Balsall Heath Jungle Women's gardening group
(Jane-)This morning I
went with Helen and Kirin to the allotment plot that the Jungle women's
group is starting to work on. We laid some black cover over half of it
with gaps in between to plant potatoes, it is very exciting to be
getting ready at the beginning of the season. We also looked at another
plot that Jungle is going to use, it is quite overgrown and Helen and
Ruth started covering it last week with huge sheets of cardboard. There
are some classy raised beds there which just need teasing out from
under a winter blanket of grass (-Jane)
