Just bought some organic potatoes from Jungle to set out in egg boxes to chit. I also bought some of my all time faves 'Pink Fir Apples' from the nursery stall in the indoor market in Birmingham city centre.
These are potatoes not apples! and are the nobblyest, waxy ,tastiest spuds ever. They are yellow inside and yes they do have pale pink skins making them the Barbie of potatoes.
The nursery stall in the market has about twenty five different varieties of potato to experiment with.
