Ingredients
- 8 oz (225g) self-raising flour
- 1 or 2 oz (30-50g) margarine or butter
- 3 oz (85g) dried fruit
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- enough milk to mix
Method
- Rub the fat into the flour
- Add the other ingredients
- Mix in enough milk to make a soft dough
- Roll out the mixture thickly
- Cut into rounds and bake for 10 minutes in a hot oven 200degC (Gas Mark 6)
