Did you know that up to 70% of your home’s heat can be lost through poor insulation? This means you need more fuel to heat the house, contributing to global warming and worse pollution. Insulation can be very simple. Just fitting a special brush to the bottom of your outside door and covering your keyhole can reduce the heat lost from your home. People on low incomes in poorly-insulated homes stand a greater risk of dying from cold-related diseases. If you are on a low income you may be able to get a grant or discounts to have your home’s insulation improved.
