INGREDIENTS125g/4oz carrots125g/4oz potatoes 125g/4oz gram flour 1 onion 1 tsp garam masala } Or spice of your choice 1 tsp turmeric } 1 bunch fresh coriander, chopped 600g/1lb 5oz chopped tomatoes salt and pepper Method1. Finely grate the carrots and the potatoes and then squeeze them to remove the juices.2. Mix in the gram flour and a little salt and pepper 3. Form the mixture into balls in your hands then deep fry them at 180C/350F for about 10 minutes, until they are a little darker than golden brown. Drain and keep warm. 4. Finely chop the onion and fry it in a little oil 5. Add the garam masala, turmeric and fresh coriander and fry together for 2-3 minutes. 6. Add the chopped tomatoes. 7.
